Phoenyx Travels

Phoenyx stands confidently on a rocky outcrop with lush blue ridge mountains rolling behind her under a bright blue sky, wearing black hiking gear and sunglasses.

Why Phoenyx Travels?

Because travel shouldn’t be reserved for the perfectly mobile, perfectly planned, or perfectly behaved.

I share what I’ve learned as a disabled traveler and mom—figuring out how to explore the world with a prosthetic leg, sensory quirks, and a backpack full of snacks and survival strategies.

I’m not a doctor or one of those perfect social media moms—just someone who’s lived it.

If you’re navigating solo trips, family chaos, or what “accessible” actually means, you’re in the right place.

👋 Meet Phoenyx

After a 2016 motorcycle accident left me with a prosthetic leg and a brain that doesn’t always play nice with bright lights and loud crowds, I decided I wasn’t done exploring—just done pretending travel had to look a certain way.

Phoenyx Travels is my space to share the messy, beautiful, deeply real way I travel now:

  • sometimes solo,
  • often with my big blended family,
  • always on my own terms.

I believe in travel that’s curious, adaptable, and unfiltered. If you’re still craving adventure—but need it to come with flexibility, naps, and good snacks—you’re in the right place.
